As some of you residents of Radstock may have noticed, one of our favourite locals The Fromeway has had a bit of a face lift over the last few months! The owners of the Fromeway approached us because they were in need of some reliable commercial doors that would be in sync with their windows that had been replaced before we arrived on site. Aluminum is our speciality so we were more than happy to provide them with a free no hassle quotation.
We suggested a number of our products made in house that would be suitable for the requirements of the owners. In the end it was settled that we would use our popular and sleek Visofold 1000 French doors at the front of the pub on the main road, these are fitted with closers and high security locking to ensure the doors are kept secure at all times.
We were also asked to replace the rear entrance, and in the process change the layout of the original door to achieve better flow and to make better use of the space available. We fitted a door using the super flexible Smart Wall, Smart Wall has been successfully tested to PAS 24:2012, LPS 1175 level 2 and BS EN 1627 Level 3 for enhanced security performance making the door one of the best performing fully thermally broken screen and entrance doors available in the UK. Fitted along with closers and the stylish chrome inline pull bar. Now with a larger door, smaller side screen and ramped low aluminum threshold, this entrance is much more user friendly.
Finally we were asked to replace the entrance to the cellar, which again is the perfect job for Smart wall and the ramped threshold. All of these doors are finished in textured anthracite grey with colour matched hardware where necessary. As you can see from the pictures the replacements make a huge difference to the appearance of the pub.
We’d like to thank the owners of The Fromeway for choosing us to replace the doors for them. They’ve been a pleasure to deal with from the start of the project and we hope to work with them again in the future. We’ll see you at the weekend for a pint!

We are delighted with the windows. As you know we were concerned that they would look different and more “clunky” but really you can’t tell the difference except that the new ones are not falling apart!!! The guys who did the fitting were also good. They were working in freezing fog, really cold but they carried on regardless, they were extremely tidy and cleared up after themselves.
I am delighted with the recent installation, it’s good to look out of clear windows. The work was carried out professionally by two excellent gentleman.
